VAPING?!.

Vape. This is an electronic device that simulates smoking a cigarette, but instead of inhaling smoke, it’s vapour. This vapour contains nicotine, chemicals, and flavouring, which appeals to most.
People started vaping because they believe it is the ‘safer option’ compared to actual tobacco cigarettes, but is it really ‘safe’? Vaping is highly addictive, can cause serious damage to your lungs, and increase the risk of getting diseases like cancer and respiratory diseases. People vape longer than they would normally smoke a cigarette because the flavoured air is enticing, meaning greater damage to your body.
How did vaping get so popular? Teenagers and young adults really got into vaping during the COVID-19 period. There was barely anything to do during this time and the distributers took advantage of this. They marketed widely and even offered delivery services, making the drug easily accessible. They also regularly message their customers making sure they do not forget about vape.
This was a fun pass time for they youth. The wide range of flavours and the cool packaging and designs, drew them in, and the ‘rings’ they would blow made it that much more interesting. It also showed that you were a ‘cool kid’. This narrative pushed more and more of them to begin vaping as it was a trend. The sweet smelling vapour has proved to be a threat as users get addicted without realizing it. They become dependent and cannot fully function without it. Some even use it as an anti-depressant.
The authorities should be aware of the different forms and shapes vape takes because they can be very deceiving. Awareness of the side effects of vaping needs to be spread. Most people do not know what they are doing their bodies, so once they know the repercussions of vaping, they will refrain from taking it.
Say No to Vaping!
