Internal Audit

The Internal Audit Directorate is tasked with:

  1. Developing and implementing audit policies, procedures, and strategies, including the Internal Audit Charter and Risk-Based Annual Work Plan.

  2. Reviewing governance mechanisms to ensure transparency and accountability in financial and asset management.

  3. Conducting risk-based audits and ensuring compliance with institutional policies.

  4. Evaluating budgetary and financial performance, including transparency and accountability processes.

  5. Providing assurance to the Board and Management on governance, risk management, and internal controls.

  6. Assessing performance management systems (financial and non-financial) for effectiveness.

  7. Coordinating with external auditors to facilitate smooth engagements.

This Directorate plays a key role in risk management, compliance, financial oversight, and governance within the Authority.
